Tributes are already pouring in for the late local entertainer Carolyn ‘Tassa” Forde who died last night at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
When the news broke this morning, Barbadians here and abroad expressed condolences and posted their tributes and comments on the Nation’s Facebook page.
Tassa, who was hospitalized last week, was a perennial semifinalist and finalist in the Pic-O- de-Crop calypso competition.
This is what some had to say, as they sent out prayers to her family and friends.
Deidre Mayers wrote: “Rest in Peace. This is sad news this morning”.
Allan Bristol: “RIP. Gone too soon”.
Caroline Boxill wrote: “Condolences to all her family and friends. R.I.P you are under the wings of the most High Tassa”.
On Facebook, those who knew the entertainer also posted comments on their pages.
David Browne wrote: “Tassa Forde. An awesome, talented woman, full of life and an amazing smile.
Karen Holder said: Tassa, I will miss you so much; your forever bubbly spirit. I am really sad you are gone, but not forgotten. God has a place for you. Rest sweet my friend”.
Ricky Redman wrote: Rest in peace Carolyn Tassa Forde. Condolences to your son and to your family. I will remember you as the bubbly first QC first former. From then you have always been one of the most approachable persons I have ever met. Rest in peace my dear friend.
