Carolyn “Tassa” Forde was laid to rest this evening following a solemn and emotionally-charged funeral service.
The packed gathering at James Street Methodist Church in the City included members of the entertainment fraternity, led by the Mighty Gabby and Red Plastic Bag.
Tributes took various forms – word, music and song – with special renditions by Paula Hinds and trio Adrian Clarke, Smokey Burke and Troy Special.
Close friend Jo-Ann Jordan, who read the eulogy, described Tassa as a phenomenal friend, a protector and defender.
The interment took place at Coral Ridge Gardens in Christ Church.
