THE Barbados Cricket Association (BCA) has to look for a new chief executive officer.
Dr Roland Toppin, who held the position since 2007, has tendered his resignation which is to take effect from the middle of May.
Toppin confirmed his departure from the local governing body for cricket when contacted by NATIONSPORT yesterday evening but offered no further comment.
Prior to joining the BCA, Toppin held the position of general manager of the plastics recycling company, Duraplast Inc.
Over the past three years, Toppin, who had been instrumental in compiling the fixtures for the BCA’s domestic season, kept a low profile in the Joel Garner-led association in which vice-president Conde Riley has been the principal spokesman.
It is also understood that BCA board member Vere Brathwaite resigned a few weeks ago. (HG/EZS)
