On the 50th anniversary of the Parkinson Memorial School, Barnett house are the champions of the Inter-House Track and Field Championships.
Earlier today at the National Stadium, the Green posse waved flags and screamed themselves hoarse when their 705.5 points were more than enough for first place.
The race for second was a close one, with Howard (Yellow) getting the better of Husbands (Red) with 634 points,  just half a point ahead. Gilkes (Blue) brought up the rear with 610 points.
Two records were broken by Tia Lashley of Gilkes and Husbands’ Kadeem Maynard in the Under-15 girls’ and Under-17 boys’ high jump, respectively.
Shavonte Bradshaw of Gilkes was the senior victrix ludorum and Howard’s Shaquan Prosper the senior victor ludorum. Shontelle Lewis of Barnett was the junior victrix ludorum and Justin Trotman of Husbands the junior victor ludorum.
The week of activities comes to a close tomorrow. (SAT)
