Bagatelle picked up their first Premiership point with a 0-0 draw against Gall Hill in last Sunday’s Premiership action at the National Stadium.
Defending champions Claytons Kola Tonic Notre Dame registered their second win of the season, defeating Families First St. John Sonnets 2-0.
Mackeson Brittons Hill made light work of Sportingbet.com Pinelands, easily running out 3-0 winners.
Notre Dame and St John Sonnets got the ball rolling in the Premiership triple header.
Sonnets, in search of another giant’s scalp and Dames looking to stay on the heels of early leaders Youth Milan. After a lack-lustre half-an-hour,
Notre Dame drew first blood after some good work on the left by Carl Joseph who played a delightful low cross into the path of Maradonna Lavine who converted in the 34th minute from just about eight yards out.
In a rather lifeless encounter, the Dames got their second goal in the 55th minute from the boot of skipper John Parris. Parris scored via the penalty route after Lavine was bundled over in the area by custodian Bernard Howell.
Bagatelle may think they have sold themselves short by not taking full points against their more experienced opponents.
Bagatelle featured three forwards with new boys Arantes Lawrence and Andre Pinder supporting Kittian national Cadius Louie.  Lawrence was the busiest of the lot, causing problems with his pace, skill and aggression.
Louie was guilty of wasting multiple opportunities, especially the one-on-one encounters which saw him denied by goalkeeper Omari Eastmond each time.
Gall Hill sustained and had their share of possession but did very little with it, with their clearest and probably only opportunity for them to score came just before the break. Superb individual skill by Jamal Chandler on the edge of the Bagatelle area, only to be denied his first goal in a Gall Hill shirt by the crossbar.
In the feature match Pinelands, under the watchful eye of parliamentary representative Hamilton Lashley, received their first defeat of the season.
Pinelands started well, sharing the ball around the field, with good inter-changing passes and coverage in midfield. However, this only seemed temporary as their rhythm somehow vanished and Brittons Hill gleefully accepted.
Brittons Hill grabbed the lead through good team play.  A neat “one-two” between Zakidya Samuels and left wing-back Omar Archer, allowed the latter to drive a low cross  into the box, for Edwin Brereton to glance his diving header into the far post in the 26th minute.
After a physical and scrappy first half, Brittons Hill settled down and took the game by the scruff of the neck, enjoying the majority of the possession, leaving their opponents to chase shadows.
Jeffrey Williams along with Samuels and Rondelle Vaughn were quite busy in midfield as they attempted to work their wizardry to unlock a stubborn but sometimes flat Pinelands defense.
Brittons Hill doubled their lead in the 80th minute when Ricky Barnes scored his first goal for his new club. A long ball from defense allowed Barnes to run onto it and hold off his marker with ease before drilling the ball past custodian Romayne Primus in his trademark, powerful manner.
Pinelands’ Captain Lionel Paul showed glimpses of the talents which brought him to recognition when a youth national, but his sole efforts were not enough to trouble custodian Kerry Holder or his defence.
Substitute Anthony Cumberbatch capped off an impressive evening for the reigning Knockout champs in the 86th minute by scoring from an in swinging cross compliments Williams, to register a 3-0 victory.
