Christ Church Girls’ have led from the first event and seem on course to win the Pasty Callender Zone 5 of the Pine Hill National Primary Schools’ Athletic Championships today.
With 84 points, Christ Church Girls’ have a 28-point lead on overall champions Bayleys. West Terrace are in third position with 50 points, George Lamming have 46 and Westbury Primary 43.
The lead has fluctuated throughout the day among the boys. Westbury and George Lamming led at some point, but it was Wesley Hall who slipped out front with 51 points. The race is close among the other schools in the top five. Westbury have 44 points, Charles F. Broome 42.5, Bayleys have 42 and Eden Lodge 41.
Defending boys’ champions St Stephens are much weaker this year and are joint ninth with 26 points.
