Hillaby Turner’s Hall’s grip on Zone 3 is loosening.
The reigning girls’ champs of the National Primary Schools’ Athletic Championships’ Anton Norris Zone are in danger of missing out on a three-peat after entering lunch in third place.
This after the perennial queens had to battle back from being seventh earlier in the day’s proceedings. Hillaby currently trails first-placed Cuthbert Moore (51) and Belmont (49).
But the girls’ title isn’t the only prize Cuthbert Moore appears to have their eyes set on as they are also tied with defending three-time champs St Matthews (47) atop the boys’ ladder.
Hillaby are a further 16 points adrift in third.
