Two hurt in crash landing

Kingston, Jamaica – Two people, including the pilot of a small Cessna plane, were injured after the aircraft made a crash landing in the vicinity of the Norman Manley International Airport today.
The plane landed on the road which leads to the historic village of Port Royal. The Airports Authority of Jamaica (AAJ) in a statement said the training flight Cessna 6YJGA overshot the runway and crashed while on its final landing approach at the airport. The AAJ, the Jamaica Civil Aviation Authority and the Norman Manley International Airport have started an investigation into the cause of the incident that occurred at 10.16 am (local time).
The names of those on board the plane were not disclosed. (CMC)
