“There are a lot of people who achieve power in the world today by trading with the devil.”
That was the sombre warning from the head of the Anglican Church, Archbishop, Dr John Holder as he delivered a sermon on the theme of Jesus’ temptations as part of the ceremony for the laying of hands and confirmation of ten new converts at St Patrick’s Church in Christ Church.
Holder warned that the temptations which Jesus faced were good examples for people to rely on when they find themselves in the wilderness of problems and confronted by challenges of finances.
The Anglican leader admitted that the challenges in the wilderness of life make it difficult to hold on to Christian principles.
