Urban voyage

Urban Spring Break came to Barbados last Sunday, as it continued to push the local “Urban” brand to an international level and attracted scores of patrons on board the MV Harbour Master.
Hosted by reality series star Natalie Nunn from season four of the Bad Girls Club, it was the third Urban party and followed on the heels of last year’s house fete which included guest, Barbadian singer and Def Jam megastar Rihanna, on December 22.
Nunn, who has kept the party on the high seas energetic and interactive, led an event that included jet-ski rides and a “funny money” competition in which the patron with the most “money” at the end actually won $1 000 in cash.
Each deck of the Harbour Master was themed and decorated, with the top deck labelled Oasis, the second Honolulu, and the bottom deck Cocktail Lounge; while patrons grooved to the music of DJs Puffy, K-Smith, Astronomik, Mixmaster Donne, Ras & Chasey.
The Urban team of Joshua Banfield, Barbadian rap artist Teff, Warren Holmes and Rihanna’s brother Rorrey Fenty were pleased with the “voyage” and looked forward to taking these themed parties to an even higher level. (RJ)
