A ST MICHAEL MAN is now $1/2 million richer after winning the Lotto Mega 6.
An elated Andre Forde, in his mid-30s, turned up yesterday at the lottery’s headquarters on Prescod  Boulevard, St Michael, to claim his winnings from last weekend’s draw.
Forde, who did not disclose much about himself, said he would be sharing his winnings with his close-knit family, and one of the first things he hoped to do was relocate.
A driver by profession, Forde was unsure whether he would want to continue in that line of work.
Nephew Michael Greaves, who accompanied Forde, was equally happy at his uncle’s fortune and was simply hoping he would give him a hamster.
The latest lotto winner was obviously very happy to have won the money and continually looked at the cheque almost in disbelief.
A regular player of the various lotto games, he has been a winner before, but his takings were nowhere near today’s. His winning Mega 6 ticket was purchased from the Texaco service station at My Lord’s Hill, St Michael.
Regional brand manager of the lottery, Lisa Jackman Corbin, said that Forde, like other big lotto winners, could benefit from financial advice on how to use the funds wisely.
