Plans are in place to bring more activity to the George Washington House and Museum.
The Bush Hill Tourism Trust Incorporated will be implementing several initiatives to enhance the visitor experience and boost traffic and the financial viability to the area.
During his welcome remarks at the 6th public lecture last night, chairman of the Trust Stuart Layne said the construction of a new pedestrian entrance to make the facility more welcoming would commence this week.
“In addition, plans are being made to convert the historic stables to a full restaurant facility and gift shop to help bring more activity to the historic house as well as to the Garrison Historic District as a whole,” he said. (CT)
