BUT?WHA’ YA gine do wid these young people nowadays and duh fashions at all nuh?
Now, look, only the other day, not even five good years yet, I used tuh hear the li’l people round me, my nephews especially, laughing at the fellas who used tuh be dressed in and wearing the biggest pants and shoes duh coulda find in the stores.
My nephews used tuh be saying how the men look real bad, ’cause the pants pockets used tuh be all the way down by the back o’ duh knees and duh would have the front o’ the pants grabble up so it won’t fall down.
The pants waist used tuh be big and the long belt dat they would have in it used tuh be pulled through the tabs round duh botsy and hanging down long, long in front – enough tuh lap round duh foot and throw dem down. But ya think dem care?
The pants itself used tuh be long and wrapping round duh ankles, all the way past the biggest shoes you could find pon anybody foot and still it was touching the ground.
Sometimes all the bottom o’ the pants used tuh be eaten off by dragging pon the ground so all the time; but dat was the fad then.
I used tuh see it as looking real disgusting and used tuh pray fuh dem sake dat none o’ duh doan get run or chase by a dog because I gine tell ya something: I know dat duh won’t be able tuh outrun nuh kinda dog, not wid the lotta weight dem did packing.
Another thing; at the same time, my same young nephews used tuh be laughing at fellas who would be wearing something a little tighter, and saying dat the men look cheesy.
But look at wha’ happening nowadays. The same cheesey look is now all the go. You could imagine dat? First of all, the shirt seams does start all the way up in duh collar bone; duh does be tight and got on all kinds o’ big igrant confuse writing and drawings o’ the ugliest things dat ya cahn understand what the France it is.
I had tuh laugh the other day when I see some fellas going tuh one o’ the big fairs duh had. I could not believe dat this was the fashion dat my nephews used tuh laugh at a few years back.
All of a sudden evahbody walking wid bow legs. Evahbody look like dem is jockeys in the making. The boniest boys got on the boniest pants and calling dem one skinny jeans. Wow!
You know what I think? Dese li’l teenage boys get together and plan a competition tuh see who could wear the tightest skinniest jeans.
I doan know fuh the life o’ me how dem does get duh two foot in dem pants at all. Dem pants does be fitting like tights by the ankles ovah two big-able shoes.
And because duh gotta keep the piece o’ pants from dropping down tuh duh knees, the two legs doan dare touch. It is too funny tuh watch though.
The thing is, duh have on belts, hear? The belt does be around the pants, which does be under duh botsies and below the boxers, which does be all the way up tuh duh waistline.
Doan talk ’bout the girls at all in the gladiator shoes and sandals. In the sandals the two foot does be all wrapped up; sometimes all the way up duh calves and flat pon the ground like a piece o’ cardboard, and duh stepping.
But it does be a different story when ya see dem all dressed tuh kill in the tall, tall gladiator heels and straps. Sometimes when I see dem playing dem stepping in these giraffes, I does have tuh send up a li’l prayer fuh dem.
Some o’ the two li’l pigeon foot duh got could barely carry dem long, far less when duh got on these tall, tall strap-up ladders just tuh show off pon duh friends with.
As if it ain’t enough tuh be all the way up in the air wid the gladiator shoes, they does top it off wid the shortest, tightest blouse or top, miniskirt or dress.
All I could think of when I see dem is, “pain and discomfort is nothing – image is evahthing”. The young people just too funny, hear wha’ I say?
