Dear Christine,
You don’t know me and?I don’t know you, but I love and respect your work. I thank you for publishing my letter last Wednesday entitled Leave Married Men In Church Alone.
This is not a hearsay story, it is mine. This relationship is going on over three years now. My husband was a pastor and the reverend sister was in the worship team. Everyone talked to them but no good it did. He had eased up for a time but she pursued him.
Christine, she is manipulating the relationship. I made a complaint to the reverend and she got angry and wrote me a letter saying that my children would walk out and leave me alone. She also told me I am like Micah, I don’t support my husband. My husband is outgoing and?I have to learn to live with that.
They poisoned his mind against me and the children. He tells everybody that I don’t support him. How do you support sin?
Anyway Christine, I can’t tell you all the things this sister and his family did to me.?But when it comes to my husband and I, only God can fix us. That is the least of my problems.
I want to say where I am today. I nearly back-slid, got mentally sick, but thank God for his Word. I kept in the Word – I was angry, bitter, unforgiving – I didn’t know how to forgive a present hurt. All through this, God gave me scriptures; I put them all together and wrote in a book and use it as a daily prayer.
Christine, the devil can hit us but he can’t keep us down. The Word of God is so powerful. I see it work in ways that it left me spellbound.
When you trust in God alone and His words fully, you allow Him to work for you. He said, trust him with your whole heart and lean not unto your own understanding and He will direct your path. He said acquaint now thyself, with Him and be at peace, thereby good shall come unto thee (or me).
Christine, I have come a long way. Thanks be to God

Dear Etwaroo,
The church should be a place for community, trust and prayer, not one for lies, deceit and infidelity. It saddens me that this type of behaviour occurs among some of the congregations in our churches.
As I said in answering you last week, men and women who attend church, and those who have pledged their lives to Christ, should seek to live their lives to an exemplary standard.
If people are to ever have, or are to regain respect for the sanctity of marriage, married men and women need to commit themselves to each other and reject any interlopers.
Etwaroo, if all the facts you outlined here and in your first letter are accurate, you have every reason to feel aggrieved about what has happened in your marriage.
Like you, I believe God does not like ugly, and the truth of your life with your
husband will eventually come to the fore. Keep the faith.
– Christine
