HAMILTON, Bermuda, CMC – An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.4 shook Bermuda today, but the authorities said there were no immediate reports of injuries or damages.
They said that the quake which occurred 50 miles west of the island lasted a few seconds and occurred at 12.38 p.m. local time.
Many persons at work and at home said they felt the quake and Dr. Mark Guishard of the Bermuda Weather Service said there was no risk of a tsunami. Police said there were no immediate reports of injuries or damages. (CMC)
