Barbadians will have another option when celebrating Mother’s Day this year.
That is because nine-time Grammy award winner and humanitarian John Legend is set to perform at the Garfield Sobers complex on May 10, two days after the day is officially observed.
Legend, after touring Singapore, Japan and Australia and performing at the annual St. Lucia Jazz festival, will be heading to Barbados where he will be forming for Barbadians at 8 p.m.
Promoters said they were happy to have Legend at this time of year as celebrating Mother’s Day was a significant day for many.
Legend is as much known for his soulful R&B hits such as ‘Ordinary People’, ‘So High’, and ‘Green Light’ as he is for his reggae fusions, pop and hip hop. (PR)
