Students get know-how

Students of the Infants B science class at Westbury Primary School got some lessons in planting and growing food yesterday.
Their teacher was James Paul, chief executive officer of the Barbados Agricultural Society.
He explained the germination process and urged the students to make sure their plants have the right amounts of nutrients, were not overwatered, had the right type of soil and enough room for healthy growth.
Paul also encouraged the children who have been experimenting with bichel beans, to get into backyard gardening with their parents.
