FLYING FISH & COU COU: Reminded of his place

A certain big-up in the hive has been told to respect his elders.
Not a young person himself, this country champion has apparently rubbed a select group the wrong way and may feel the pain for the mouthful he spoke.
Having garnered less support than he usually does, he may very well have bitten off more than he could chew.
Of course, he is a man of means, but there are times that you would be well advised to take off your hat and bow to those who have been there before you.
Rewarding contracts
From all reports, it seems that a certain company that flourished under the previous administration is now cleaning up business as well under the present dispensation.
Word in The City and surrounding streets is that having already won contracts two miles out of town, this company that once thrived in the beehive is still reaping sweets up to now.
Maybe it is about time that the man at the helm should start sharing some lashes.
Trying times
A certain St Michael politico is not enjoying the best of times.
Apparently, the son of his opponent is controlling things at a Government agency and is making sure his old man builds a pretty decent reputation.
In fact, if it continues this way, a certain house may fall down or at the very least a certain man will no longer be able to take a seat in the house he holds so dear.
Change of plans
They say that you should never bite the hand that feeds you, but one old stinging bee may be about to do so.
Though not a schooled man in the formal sense, he learnt his trade at the university of hard knocks and was admired for it.
This gentleman is known to dock at any port in a storm, and having received a certain berth he has money in the hut and is ready to use it in the West against the same man who put him in a central position.
George Lamming should write this book!
Precarious position
He may be in good health physically, but insiders say this may very well not be the case politically.
Indeed, this new Don of politics is under fire from inside and outside and many are wondering if he will come out of the recovery room.
The naked truth though is that this politico is already growing a reputation as being one of the best in the West.
Time will tell how he will survive the coming musical chairs.
Crashing the party
How could anyone hold a meeting in a certain St Michael riding and not invite a certain lady?
She turned up anyway and made it known it was downright disrespectful, no matter who was calling the shots.
It all took place at a certain church, but from what took place, there was nothing godly about what transpired.
Still holding on
Family and friends have told him to step aside, but this western crusader is not willing to put down his guns for the hand-picked deputy to get his badge.
Indeed, word on the street is that he would have announced his departure had a certain little birdie not been at a recent meeting.
