The island’s oldest woman Rosetta Best celebrated her 105 birthday yesterday with a thanksgiving service at her Cave Memorial Nursing Home, Bryden Avenue, Brittons Hill, St Michael.
Best was in high spirits as she worshipped with members of the Seventh-Day Adventist (SDA) Church and gave an enlightening testimonyof her life and the role God played in it.
Best, who originated in St George and is the only survivor of five siblings, told the SUNDAY SUN the love of God and good health were the driving forces behind her reaching the milestone.
“I feel good to get to this age. I want people to serve the Lord because He is a good Saviour.”
