Super Cup hearing soon

LAST SEASON’S LENGTHY Sagicor General Super Cup dispute could finally be coming to an end – some six months after it first arose.
A decision over UWI’s protest of their semi-final defeat to St Catherine might be in the works as early as next week as the two sides await a date for an arbitration hearing after recently agreeing on an arbitrator.
Chief executive officer of the Barbados Cricket Association, Deighton Smith, made the announcement yesterday at Kensington Oval during a press briefing disclosing the details of this season’s Sagicor General competitions.
“They have now agreed on an arbitrator and the intention is to have that case heard next week [and] once the arbitration decision has been given then we will proceed with that,” said Smith of the current case.
