There was a lot of huffing and puffing at a certain big-up meeting this week.
From what Cou cou was told, all the anger was vented at a man who dared to break the unholy silence that has engulfed this powerful group to face his critics head-on.
From what our fly on the wall related, the man in question, who is known for his bravado and never-say-die attitude, took on everyone in the meeting, including the chairman. He told them that they were increasingly being viewed as “frightened”, but that was not his status.
He said he was going to take on anyone, anywhere, even if it seems that the situation is set up by operatives.
But the chairman had the last word. Apparently, he reminded the individual that it would take a yeoman team effort to ensure they remained on top, therefore he was not happy with such solo acts.
We now have to wait and see how this will impact on what this politico does and says in the days ahead.
Things heating up
There seems to be another controversy brewing at the place where healing should be the order of the day.
Cou cou understands a new kid on the block has been selected and should be moving in soon, but – guess what ? – changes have to be made to the rules to accommodate him as they were for another anointed person who is yet to make an appearance.
From what we heard, the changes are necessary because this man does not have the years to get the big pick that he has been selected for.
But would you believe another change has to be made because this new person wants to have a longer holiday than what presently obtains.
We wonder if the individual heard about the high stress levels at the place he’s coming to and is making sure he will be able to get as much time away as possible.
Lying in wait
Have you noticed that a certain politico who is known as a talker hardly says a word these days, even to his mouthpieces?
Could it be that this man is playing a waiting game and intends not to say or do anything that may impact how the boss man views him?
Or is it a case that he has been promised something and is not saying anything so as not to let his colleagues know what may be coming when the game of musical chairs takes place?
Friends again?
There is a buzz that at last some accommodation has been made between two big-ups in a certain organization.
Word is that they are to publicly bury their hatchets, so to speak, at a big meeting and declare their intention to work together to put their group on top again.
Cou cou does not have all of the details, but we heard the older of the two has made it clear he has no intention of fighting on two fronts. He thinks such action would only destroy the family.
We don’t know how true it is, but we were told that the younger one realizes though they can keep as much noise as possible all that will do is to keep them in an also-ran lane, and that’s not the place for a frontrunner.
So it seems that something big is going to happen real soon. We don’t know if this time the buzz end in a bang or a whimper.
