Abigail Durant of St Gabriel’s Primary School is the top student in this year’s Barbados Secondary Schools’ Entrance Examination (Common Entrance Exam). She had a score of 244.29 and an ‘A’ in composition.
She will be attending The St Michael School.
The top boy is Ibraheem Patel of Al Falah School, who received 242.89 marks, with an ‘A’ in composition. He will be going to Queen’s College.
Twenty-six students received 100 per cent in Mathematics, while ten students scored between 97 and 99 per cent in English.
The island’s top ten students came from St Gabriel’s, St Winifred’s, South District, Gordon Greenidge, St Stephen’s, Charles F. Broome and Al Falah.
