MINISTER?of Health Donville Inniss has hailed the efforts of the Centre for Counselling Addiction Support Alternatives (CASA) in offering sterling service to the drug rehabilitation process.
However, Inniss wants other organisations such as the judiciary, church, labour movement, social care services and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to join the fight against substance abuse.
The minister made this plea at an awards dinner and ceremony held by CASA at Hilton Barbados on Saturday night.
“This contribution is in consonance with my ministry’s position that there must be involvement and participation from a wide stakeholder base including the judiciary, church, non-governmental and community-based organizations,” he said. (MK)
