“Let’s give REDjet a chance”.
This has come from Minister of Tourism Richard Sealy who has made the call for more players to be involved in regional aviation.
Sealy, who was speaking in Parliament today, said he genuinely believed that Barbados did the right thing by embracing Airone Ventures Limited, which runs the new regional airline REDjet.
He said in 2011 if Barbados is to be moving people around the region, it has to be done by air.
Sealy also noted that in order to counter the challenges experienced with LIAT, “we will need other players involved in regional aviation”.
“I think they (REDjet) deserve a chance,” he said. (CM)
