Prime Minister Freundel Stuart is concerned about the instances of senseless violence among some youth.
Speaking tonight during a televised address to the nation, in which he announced adjustments to his Cabinet, Stuart said young people must learn to settle disputes by dialogue.
“I want to urge that settling disputes by dialogue is to be preferred to settling them by the knife or the gun. There will be no comfort to those who continue to think that there should be exceptions to this more civilized approach, “ he said.
Stuart, however, said it was heartening to hear recent reports from the Commissioner of Police that crime figures were down. (CM)
