Principal Jeff Broomes yesterday warmly welcomed 160 new students to the Alexandra School family for the next school year.
At the school’s orientation, he said this year’s intake of students came with very high marks but, more importantly, he was pleased with the children’s profiles that showed many of them being involved in school and cultural activities such as music and sports.
In addition, a lot of them, as prefects, held leadership roles at their primary schools.
The orientation gave the new students some insight into what was expected of them, the school’s style, history and what they could and should do to achieve success during their time there.
