Heather Walker cemented her place among the top junior Equestrian riders in the Caribbean when she swept aside all her competitors to register two perfect rounds during the recent FEI World Jumping Challenge Category C Competition at the Whitehall Equestrian Riding Centre in St Peter.
Having led from the first day of competition, Walker and her horse Super Trooper maintained their domination of the field and continued with two very mature and well ridden clear rounds to come out on top on the second and final day of the competition.
Allanah Wilkie on Bombay had just one rail on the second day to end with 12 faults overall for second place.
Third was Franka Costelloe on the beautiful Viking Thunder, who also won the prize for the best turned out horse at the Veterinary Inspection. Stacey Phillips, who was in the first three at the end of day one, was eliminated for two infractions.
This result moves young Walker into the first place in Group 10 with only the Dominican Republic still to host their competition. Her next major competition is the Invitational German Friendships, which come off in Herford, Germany at the end of July.
