Students of the 2011 graduating class of Hindsbury Primary School were advised to grasp every opportunity in order to allow plants to blossom and flourish.
This advice was given by Member of Parliament for St Thomas, Cynthia Forde, who delivered the feature address at the graduation ceremony on June 17 at the Mount of Praise Wesleyan Holiness Church.
She suggested that by so doing they would, “reap success through positive achievements, happiness, joy and good health”.
Forde instructed the graduates to develop ways in which they could overcome negative thoughts and action by “selecting good company, engaging in meaningful activities and following instructions”.
Principal Nola Cummings-Lewis thanked the students for their “contribution to the school over the years”.
Cummings-Lewis  reported that the two outstanding students in the Barbados Secondary Schools Entrance Examination were Ashani Maughn, who scored 99 per cent in mathematics and Julia Jones, who received 95 per cent in English. (DG)
