THE RECENT TYRE slashing in West Terrace brought residents out in their numbers yesterday to find a solution.
The St James South residents woke up last Friday to discover the damage to their vehicles – 97 of them, police say.
Several senior police officers from the Northern Division were on hand to answer questions and give advice to residents and parliamentary representative Donville Inniss, who chaired the meeting, to see how they could reduce the level of crime in the districts.
It was agreed that residents needed to be their brothers’ keepers and unite; otherwise the bad guys would take over. (YB)
