LAWYERS REPRESENTING FORMER CLICO boss Leroy Parris have filed for judgment against the insurance company.
It’s the latest development in the saga between the former executive chairman and CLICO?Holdings (Barbados).
A check with the Registry Department last week revealed that law firm Lex Caribbean, which is representing the insurance company, has not filed a defence to Parris’ $10 million claim in contractural and other payments.
The law stipulates that a defendant is given eight days to acknowledge the filing of a suit and 14 days thereafter to file a defence in the matter. (TS)
