Inniss meeting BAMP Friday

AN ATTEMPT will be made on Friday to resolve outstanding issues between the Ministry of Health, the Barbados Association of Medical Practitioners (BAMP) and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH).
Minister of Health Donville Inniss yesterday confirmed that he would chair the 5 p.m. meeting at the ministry’s headquarters in the Frank Walcott Building.
Inniss said he spoke with BAMP president Dr Carlos Chase, QEH chairman Francis DePeiza and QEH chief executive officer Dr Dexter James on the matter and they have agreed to meet.
The minister said each of the parties had been asked to come with a list of outstanding issues with the intention of resolving those that could be dealt with immediately, while setting timelines for resolution of the others. (SP/MM)
