Falling wall scare

STAFF MEMBERS of Bajan Cleaning Enterprise Limited on Mason Hall Street, The City, were left traumatized after part of the wall of an adjoining building came crashing down around 11:30 a.m. yesterday.
Demolition of the wall, which enclosed the old and recently burnt-out Evelyn Roach building, took the staff by surprise.
The firm’s managing director Hallam Payne said it was “disgusting” that they were not notified.
“They have not called us to let us know to be cognisant to the fact that they are demolishing their building. Matter of fact, when my wife [Angela Payne] called, the man was hostile saying that he is not going to damage our building.” (AH)
