Fidel in Big Bash

SIGNING?to play in the Australian Big Bash Twenty League shouldn’t affect my Test career.
Barbadian fast bowler Fidel Edwards gave that assurance yesterday after it was disclosed that he will link up with out-of-favour West Indies opening batsman Chris Gayle, after being signed by the Sydney Thunder to play in the next edition of the Big Bash which bowls off Down Under in December.
There have been concerns in some circles that Edwards, who only returned to international cricket this year following a two-year break to treat a back injury, could risk aggravating the previous problem. 
 “Test cricket is much harder than T20 as I only have to bowl four overs in a match on any day so there is less stress on my body and my back is holding up fairly well now,” Edwards.  told WEEKENDSPORT yesterday. (EZS)
