POLICE HAVE DETAINED former political candidate Roger Smith for questioning in connection with the disappearance of more than $1.5 million from Sagicor.
Smith, who announced his withdrawal from politics early last month, was taken into custody by the Fraud Unit yesterday.
The money stolen is believed to have involved money transfers and overseas investments. (TS)
