Warrens complex for sale

THE GOVERNMENT’S WARRENS OFFICE COMPLEX is up for sale to recover the near $68 million owed to Barrack Construction by the National Housing Corporation (NHC).
However the High Court has deferred an order with respect to the sale of land by Barrack at Rices, St Philip.
The complex and that land were ceded to the company to satisfy the debt the NHC owes the company.
But even before the bidding process for the building which houses 11 Government ministries and ten departments, Barrack Construction’s managing director Al Barrack has concerns the economic environment might not be in his favour.
