PSV operators in need of a leader

Public service vehicle?(PSV)?operators have no one to represent them and are crying out for leadership.
That’s the view of long-standing route taxi operator and spokesman Roger Hercules, after a decision was taken last weekend at the Barbados Community College to remove the executive of the Association of Public Transport Operators (APTO) as the representative body for PSVs.
“At that meeting, a motion was made to have the executive members of APTO removed, it was seconded and they were removed from immediate effect. What it means is that the association that is purported to represent the operators of mini-buses and ZRs, have been removed effectively from further representation of the PSV sector,” he said.
Hercules made it clear that APTO, as a company still exists, but it no longer had the backing to speak on behalf of the PSV community.
