Stabbing victim drops at clinic

Work came to a halt and appointments were put on hold yesterday morning at the St Philip Polyclinic after a row outside led to a fatally wounded man seeking urgent medical care.
Onlookers in the polyclinic told of hearing a commotion in the road, only to look out and see two men fighting.
It was not long after that a bleeding 32-year-old Kevin Michael, of No. 44 Emerald Park East, walked into the polyclinic amidst stares of patients with early appointments, before being hustled to the examination room.
Police public relations officer Inspector David Welch confirmed that soon afterwards Michael succumbed to his injuries “while being examined”. He also stated that police already had a man in custody for questioning and investigations were continuing. (CT)
