National Hero and Cricket legend Sir Garfield Sobers turns 75 today, and last night the Cricket Legends of Barbados marked the milestone with the official opening of an exhibition showcasing the exploits of the world’s greatest cricketer, at their Fontabelle, St Michael headquarters.
Prime Minister Freundel Stuart cut the ribbon at the opening which followed a cocktail reception attended by other cricketing greats, including Sir Everton Weekes, Rev. Wes Hall, Charles Griffith and Seymour Nurse.
Guests viewed the exhibition and also took the opportunity to tour the Cricket Museum.
