DEAR CHRISTINE: Things so bad, suicide on my mind

Date:

Share post:

Dear Christine,
I am the mother of six children and I do not work.
Four of my children do not live with me. One attendsĀ  primary school and two are at secondary school. The one at primary school has sickle cell anaemia.
I have no food to give him. The doctor told me to give him beef, fruits and vegetables. I have no money to buy them. Ā
The father works for $250 a week and he pays the bills. My second girl is also suffering. She has four children. Their father died and she has no one to help. Suicide is on my mind.
The house in which I live is no good.
We get wet when the rain falls. My son gets cold so often that I usually send him by his grandmother to sleep.
Please help.Ā  I also have no school clothes.Ā  Can someone out there please help my sickle cell son with food? Government, can you help?
– Sad Mother
Dear Sad Mother,
I am sorry to hear of your plight, but bear in mind that committing suicide will further add to the problems which your children currently face. Suicide is never an option to life’s challenges.Ā  As simple as this may seem, give Jesus a chance. He is truly the answer for the world today.
He will not appear on your doorstep in person with food and clothing, but He is the one who will lay it on somebody’s heart to help you in your time of need.
Prayer is also key! Choose these two over suicide.
Your situation has been discussed with the relevant authorities, who will be contacting you shortly.
I will also be keeping in contact with you.
– CHRISTINE
