Brazil is a ripe market waiting to be tapped.
Minister of Tourism Richard Sealy said Brazil was one of the areas the Barbados Tourism Authority (BTA) was pursuing along with Continental Europe and Asia in the medium to long term.
Speaking to the media after a courtesy call by Brazilian samba group Sociedade Rosas de Oura Wednesday, Sealy said the issue with credit cards experienced by online bookers had been ironed out and tourism authorities were waiting to see if they could generate enough traffic to increase the number of flights from the current one day a week.
Sealy said the Brazil thrust went beyond tourism.
