As the Rihanna LOUD concert at Kensington Oval Friday night neared the close, Rihanna thanked Barbadians for their unconditional support and love. She said no matter where she traveled in the world, there was no place like home.
There were screams and even some tears from those in the crowd as Rihanna sat on the stage and said these words to the fully packed Oval.
She said she grew up just two streets across from the Oval in Westbury Road, singing and “annoying her neighbours”.
Just before that, Rihanna had danced though the crowd in the luxury VIP section with the Barbados flag waving in hand. Rihanna then sang Take A Bow then disappeared from stage. There were then chants of “Ri Ri” from the crowd urging her to return to the stage.
Rihanna then reappeared atop a piano, pianist on the keys. Still on piano, elevated by this time, Rihanna was singing Love the Way You Lie.
Hours after the show ended, Rihanna tweeted on her Twitter page: “Barbados!!!!! My country is the BEST!!!!! Hands down! I love wunna”.
