Police have seized six firearms found at the home of one of two suspects held in connection with Saturday night’s shooting of two police officers.
Two police officers were shot while patrolling Navy Gardens in Christ Church. The shooting occurred after they had approached two men spotted in the area.
Sgt Christine Husbands and Constable Terry Pierre were injured in the shooting. They were treated at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Public relations officer Inspector David Welch also disclosed that lawmen were still on the hunt for the killers in last week’s double tragedy, at Salters, St George. (TS)
