Godfrey Leacock capped his surreal Knockout run with a finals-high 21 points, including the game’s last six in a decisive 14-4 run, as Nicholls Baking Company Cougars captured their first top flight title via Sunday’s 65-55 victory over First Works Warriors at the YMCA.
It was the defining performance of the last-placed League side that became the Knockout’s team of destiny after pulling off a series of stunning upsets. (JM)
