ANGELA?MASON?is crying out for help for her mentally ill son.
The St Joseph woman complained yesterday that she had appealed to police and the Psychiatric Hospital, where her son has been an outpatient for ten years, but neither agency wants to take responsibility for picking him up.
Mason said she wanted 32-year-old Neilson Mason, who does not live with her, detained at the Psychiatric Hospital because he was “acting up”.
“I?saw him on Kadooment Day on Spring Garden and I realized that he needed medication, so I told him to go to the Psychiatric Hospital. I?called the hospital on Friday and they told me he went but they did not keep him. Now people calling me telling me that he is “acting up” and that he was in Temple Yard naked with a sword in his hand,” she cried. (MB)
