Barbados has recorded another road fatality.
In less than 24 hours there were two fatalities with the latest occurring early this morning on the Cummins section of the Highway at the intersection with West Road, Lodge Hill in St Michael.
That accident, which took place at 12:50 a.m. claimed the life of Tracy Watson, 24, of Fairfield, Black Rock.
According to a release this morning from police public relations officer Inspector David Welch, the woman was a front seat passenger in the car driven by Jason Beckles of Bryans Road, Welchman Hall, St Thomas.
Watson died at the scene, while Beckles was uninjured.
The car was involved in a accident with a van driven by Tyrone Walkes, 38, of Collins, St. Peter. He complained of head injuries, while his three passengers complained of various injuries. They were all taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulances.
Earlier in the day around 5:30 p.m. an accident in Green Hill Road, St Michael, claimed the life of Eustace Padmore.
Padmore, who was 65 years old of Lemon Arbor, St John, died at the scene.
That accident involved a truck which was driven by Ranaldo Johnson, 26, of Hopewell, St Thomas. (PR/CM)
