It’s Barbados Hockey Festival time again.
The Banks Brewery grounds were a sea of colour and culture yesterday as the island’s biggest sports tourism product got off to a rousing start with its annual opening ceremony and parade of teams.
In its 26th year, the 2011 festival has attracted nine teams from overseas, the bully-off of which is this morning.
Yesterday, the teams were treated to a cultural display highlighted by the dancing routine of the popular Mother Sally, here showing off her moves for Team Hoff.
