DEFENDING?World 110-metre champion Ryan Brathwaite finished a disappointing fifth in his first round heat the World Championships in Daegu, South Korea, tonight.
Brathwaite, running out of lane six, clocked 13.57 seconds in the race which was won by former World record holder Liu Xiang of China in 13.20. Andrew Turner of Britan was second in 13.32.
The top three will automatically advance to the semi-finals and Brathwaite, who has not been in good form this year, failed to make the cut. (EZS)
