THE THREE-YEAR agreement between Grammy Award-winning singer Rihanna and the Barbados Tourism Authority (BTA) officially kicks in next month in Brazil, but the island is already getting lots of additional publicity.
Her new single Cheers (Drink To That), which was released last Thursday, has several clips of Rihanna in her hometown in a bar, at the beach, her LOUD concert held her earlier this month, Rihanna playing mas’ with Baje International Grand Kadooment Day, and several other scenic shots.
The Barbados Flag is also prominently featured in the video. The inclusion of the flag is one the areas the singer has agreed to in the contract. Details for the three-year arrangement are still being worked out. (YB)
