Man charged for drug offences

Members of the Drug Squad have arrested and charged Curtis Monzie, age 35, of Dennery Village, St. Lucia, for the offences of possession, trafficking, and possession with intent to supply, and importation of a control drug – cannabis. 
Monzie arrived by air from St. Lucia on Tuesday August 30, 2011.  He was searched and seven taped packages containing the drug, were found strapped to his legs, weighing 5 ½ lbs.
He is expected to appear at the District B Magistrate Court today.
