A good deed ended in tragedy yesterday after a St Philip father of five fell from a tall coconut tree to his death.
Lawrence Waterman, 39, of Heddings, was trimming the tree in Train Road, Marchfield, St Philip, yesterday afternoon for cousin Donna Williams when the accident occurred.
Members of his family, including his mother, consoled one another yesterday.
Grieving mother Harriet Waterman was unable to speak to the Press and directed the DAILY NATION to her sister Joan Thomas.
